This is an otter slide I found on 1.19.08. It’s in an area I snowshoe. The length of the segment shown here is 1170 ft long with an elevation change of 185 ft. The slide is ~10” wide. This section of slide had maybe 2 small (3 ft) areas where the otter had to walk, the rest was all slide! Amazing.
The slide is to the left, my tracks are on the right… if you can’t tell!

This is in a wet snow that froze solid the next day. The detail was perfect.
Below is a moose bed… notice the slide going into it on the lower left, then exiting on the upper right.
